L’Étoile. An other night out, I left my friends earlier after a fine diner. I said I’d come home straightaway after this, because it was late, I was tired, and as often lately, I felt a bit empty. But, hell, Reason says one thing, and one does the opposite. I went to the other end of the canal close to the Seine, and dropped this fucked up bike I neglected to fully check. I walked along the docks, by poor dudes sleeping in tents under the bridges, crossed the river around Austerlitz, and headed home. An other shore, an other world. Dances, songs, kisses, talks, laughs and lights and I can’t help smiling walking through this swarming life. A couple of steps more, I’m already by l’institut du monde arabe. There’s this bar down my street: L’Étoile, probably nothing special about it, pricey booze and brasserie-kind-of-food. She was there, black tight dress, pretty big boots, apparently waiting for someone with an over-bored expression. The tender was slowly closing his bar. I crossed the street, and took several pictures.

For one of the first times for 2 months, I went out and I took pictures. I needed that :)

  1. By chance I came along your blog. Specially the Paris shots are kind of my taste. This one pobbed up into me.

    Great shot though! My compliment.

You put a smile on my face.
